I have to unmute everything every time I boot my computer. Is there a way that I can get it to not mute my speakers at every restart? I may have solved my issue by removing the power_save=1 option I had enabled in the snd-hda-intel module. Apparently, the Audio Mixer was muting PulseAudio AND Alsa, but unmuting ONLY Alsa. Next time you unmute your speakers, run "alsactl store" as root or using sudo and see if that fixes it. I guess I'll find out in the next few days if that's the case...
